About the Role
With a strong pipeline of newly awarded projects across Queensland, BMD is seeking an Environmental Coordinator who are is open to both Brisbane based work or FIFO/DIDO‑based projects across Queensland. Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the Environmental Coordinator will support project teams in the implementation and ongoing management of BMD’s environmental systems and site‑specific environmental management plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Support compliance with regulatory and project‑specific requirements
- Implement and maintain Construction Environmental Management Plans
- Conduct site inspections, audits and environmental monitoring
- Assist with incident investigation and environmental reporting
- Support approvals documentation and stakeholder liaison
- Deliver toolbox talks and environmental training on site
Skills and Experience
- Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or similar
- 4–7 years post‑graduate experience in a site‑based construction environment
- Strong understanding of environmental compliance on civil projects
- Confident communicator able to engage with site teams and stakeholders
- Open to regional FIFO work when required
