About the Role
Key Accountabilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of project health and safety management systems
- Assist with site inspections, audits, risk assessments and safety observations
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings and site safety walks
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations and corrective action tracking
- Maintain safety documentation, records and reporting requirements
- Support project compliance with WHS legislation, standards and company procedures
- Promote a positive safety culture and encourage proactive safety behaviours across the workforce
- Learn and develop a strong understanding of construction and renewable energy safety practices
The successful candidate will be a self‑starter with:
- Looking to commence a career in health and safety through a traineeship pathway
- A recent graduate with a qualification in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
- Passionate about creating safe workplaces and supporting positive outcomes for people
- A proactive, observant and detail-oriented individual
- A confident communicator who can engage with a diverse site-based workforce
- Motivated to learn and develop within a dynamic construction environment
- Able to travel to site daily and reside within reasonable commuting distance of Palmer Wind Farm (Under 1 Hour Commute)
- Candidates who have recently completed a Certificate IV OHS or studying a Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety highly desired
