About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement traffic management plans, procedures and forms to support effective project delivery.
- ensure Traffic Guidance Schemes are developed in accordance with G10 requirements.
- manage ROL applications and approvals.
- ensure traffic management works are carried out to the highest safety standards.
- oversee safe systems of work for all traffic related activities.
- manage and develop the traffic team, building capability across direct reports.
- work closely with design and construction teams to support effective traffic staging.
- identify temporary works requirements and ensure compliance with TfNSW G10 and G1 requirements.
- ensure road safety audits are completed in line with project deed requirements.
- obtain approvals from relevant authorities within required timeframes to avoid construction delays.
- prepare monthly traffic performance reporting for the Construction Manager.
- build productive relationships with client representatives, Independent Verifier representatives and the wider project team.
- review traffic cost codes, complete forecast to completion reporting and highlight potential commercial risks
- coordinate traffic related activities with construction teams and support weekly, monthly and long-term programs.
About You
- prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan qualification.
- minimum five years’ traffic management experience (Traffic Engineer or Manager level).
- minimum five years' experience on TfNSW projects.
- strong leadership capability and a positive team approach.
- a flexible, cooperative and supportive working style.
- commercial awareness and the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- a goal-focused and determined approach to project delivery.
