About the Role

We are seeking a Safety Advisor to join our FIFO project team on large-scale resource sector construction projects in Western Australia. Supporting the Dampier Salt Concentrator Repair project and broader pipeline, this role will see you working closely with experienced Safety Coordinators and project teams to deliver strong HSEQ outcomes. 
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a developing safety professional to gain exposure to a major project environment while contributing to BMD’s evolving Safety Strategy and Critical Risk Program.
 

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the project team in delivering safe work practices
  • Assist with audits, inspections and frontline engagement
  • Contribute to risk assessments, workshops and safety initiatives
  • Support implementation of HSE systems and procedures 
  • Assist in incident investigations and reporting 
  • Help deliver toolbox talks and safety training activities
  • Support development of work method statements and plans

The successful candidate will be a self‑starter with:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS/OHS (or working towards) 
  • 1–3 years’ experience in construction or related industry (level-adapted from source)
  • Strong communication and willingness to learn
  • Ability to build relationships across teams
  • Proactive and safety-focused mindset
  • Experience on civil or resource sector projects
