About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to join our project team on a FIFO basis for large-scale resource sector construction projects in Western Australia. Initially supporting the Dampier Salt Concentrator Repair project, this role provides direct exposure to the client and the opportunity to contribute to a strong pipeline of upcoming works. 
 
With a 2:1 roster into Port Hedland, you’ll play a key role in influencing project teams and driving Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) excellence.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Coach and support project teams to deliver safe outcomes
  • Implement critical risk programs and HSE systems
  • Conduct audits, inspections and frontline engagement
  • Facilitate risk workshops and safety initiatives
  • Support incident investigations and continuous improvement
  • Assist in development of WMS, project plans and reviews 
  • Develop emergency response plans 
  • Support training and mentoring of safety professionals

The successful candidate will be a self‑starter with:

  • Diploma in WHS/OHS (tertiary qualifications advantageous)
  • 5+ years’ experience in civil or resource sector projects
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships
  • Solution-focused and proactive approach
  • HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for drugs of abuse (Desirable)
  • ICAM Lead Investigator training (Desirable)
